PixelSentry

About PixelSentry

Why this exists

Meta tracking on Shopify breaks quietly: a theme publish drops a snippet, an app embed resets, a consent banner blocks a script, and campaigns keep spending against signal that is no longer arriving. The evidence is public; the review pages of Meta's own Shopify integration are full of merchants who found out weeks late. The store looks fine, the ads keep running, and nothing tells you.

How it works

PixelSentry is a standing watchdog with three legs: a synthetic crawl that visits your storefront like a shopper and verifies the pixel actually fires, Dataset Quality polling that confirms Meta is receiving and matching your events, and a one button test event that confirms Meta accepts server events for your dataset. Alerts fire only on confirmed breakage, and every alert carries its evidence, because an alert you cannot verify is just another notification to ignore.

Who builds it

PixelSentry is built and operated by Orion Apex Capital, founded by Dan Mercede. The same principles that run the product run the company: evidence over vibes, no fabricated proof, and tracking hygiene modeled on our own site (cookieless analytics, no ad trackers).
